Dinner at 4UR Ranch

The 4UR Ranch is a 4,000 acre dude ranch, where you can vacation, ride horses, fish in Goose Creek and hike. Since it is only about 10 miles from South Fork, we decided to drive over to it, look around and have dinner in the 4UR Ranch House. The link to learn more about it is http://www.4urranch.com/ .

Original hot springs bath house which made this place a popular vacation destination in the early 1900's. It is used for storage now.

The fun never stops in South Fork

We went ATV riding just south of us and drove on a trail that lead us to Swale Lake. The wild flowers are just beautiful.

Motorcycle ride to Lake City

We stopped at Windy Point, just outside of Lake City and took these photos of Red Mountain and Uncompahgre Mountain.




A ride is not complete until we stop to eat. Our lunch stop is at Poker Alice's Cafe in Lake City.

On the way home we had to stop at Freeman's to have toasted coconut ice cream.

Rail and Ale Trip from Alamosa to the mountains

On the way to the beer fest we were able to have a real nice place to sit on the train car. Lloyd was pretty happy about it since it was a 2 hour train ride. About 400 folks went on the trip.

We were on the lower level of the rail car.
There were 15 beer venders offering 50 different kinds of beer. I thought the tasting mugs were kind of cute.

There was a band and a barbeque rib/chicken lunch. We stood in line 1 hour for our food.
On the way home everyone else found out how nice the 1st two cars were and we had to sit in 4th class!

After we met Lynn and Jerry we rode to the Snowy Range in southern Wyoming.

On the Road Again

We went to Breckenridge, CO to visit friends and went motorcycling to Mt. Evans, the highest paved road in the U.S. After this stop we went to my cousin's home in Windsor and saw the tornado damage. We spent two nights at her place and then got back on our motorcycles and headed for Wyoming to spend the 4th of July with my sister and her family.
