The year 2010

We had an exciting year, and I am going to show photos of the highlights of 2010.

Jack Lee Riley was born on March 27, 2010. Parents: Michelle and Anthony Riley.

We stayed in Minnesota for the month of September and saw lots of beautiful fall color.

In November we went to Hawaii to celebrate our 40th anniversary.

To get Lloyd interested in going on the trip, I suggested that he rent a motorcycle and have his photo taken in front of the Hawaii State Capital Building.

We saw many waterfalls, rain forests, volcano's and lava flow..

Nancy and Clyde went with us and here we are celebrating our trip with smoothies.

Christmas was spent in Colorado, here is a photo of John on top of the mountain where we skied.

Hiking the Canyon

Hiking down the South Kaibab trail. It was about 7 miles long and took us about 5 hours to reach the bottom of the canyon. When we started at 7:30 AM it was snowing and it was quite windy.

The 2nd day we hike 15 miles along the North Kaibab Trail to Ribbon Falls. This is a view of the north rim of the canyon.

We followed Bright Angel Creek.

Grand Canyon Trip

On April 15th we hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stayed 2 nights at Phantom Ranch. We took S. Kaibab trail down and it snowed on us part of the way down. (7 miles).The weather at the bottom was nice and it was a cool day when we started our hike out on the Bright Angel Trail. (9 miles.) N. Kaibab (15 miles).

Phantom Ranch & Bright Angel Trail

Bright Angel Trail. This is the Tonto Trail going across the plateau.
We are getting close to the top, you can tell because there are lots of hikers.

The mules take all of the food down to Phantom Ranch, they also bring the trash out daily.

A Week in Houston

We went to Houston last week to visit our kids and grandchild. It was St. Patrick's Day and Michelle and AJ dressed for the occasion. We went for a walk to a near by park.

AJ enjoyed being strolled around by Papa.

Margaret invited us over for lunch and Carol was visiting for a week.

We went to Little Gym with AJ, he had fun playing with all of the equipment.

Michelle had a hat for St. Patrick's Day and AJ loved to wear it around the house. He was very entertaining.
